I made a new character to play with my buddy, who just started (has to play BFA first), and my new character is unable to start the BFA questline. It is not in the Timewalking Campaigns section, nor is the quest giver at the docks.
I have a level 50 that has completed BFA (and on the same server).
I don’t know if I’m not seeing where to go, or if I am unable to replay BFA on another character, but it’d be nice if I could.
After I made my character, I started at level 10 in Stormwind because I chose Dark Iron Dwarves. After turning in the last quest to Chromie (where it tells you to choose a campaign, where BFA isn’t listed), I never got a new quest afterwards.
Same for me. I have several max level characters, that have completed BFA campaign. However, I’m unable to get any low-level alts into BFA. No quest from Chromie, or the war board. No breadcrumb quests available.

i get the quest from chromie, but i don’t want to do other content, i want to do bfa, and i cannot progress into that storyline on any character other than ones i had already started it on yesterday
Yup, exactly. It seems that they have forgot about adding BfA to new(returning) characters, or to the Timewalking menu for new characters on accounts with a BfA completion.
Unable to start BFA quest on any new character, allied race or non allied race. Have disabled addons, re launched launcher and game, made characters on other realms to test, same issue present. Issue was not present yesterday under same repro.

Topic Stuck on quest
Description high volumes of tickets shouldn’t result in being given a cookie cutter response that leads me to believe that you’re literally drowning in reports and you can’t even read the tickets you have in your queue
i’m sorry you have to work in these conditions, i hope your superiors improve, because this is a complete joke for a billion dollar company whose game i have spent literally thousands of dollars on and given 15 years of my loyalty to
Unfortunately with the flood of tickets they are getting they have to send out those messages if they see anything that might be quest related. If you respond to the ticket that you still need help and it is not a simple fix (I would include the link again to be safe) a GM will manually review the ticket and get back to you. When you respond to the ticket you are placed in a separate queue and shouldn’t have to wait as long for your ticket.
I know it can be frustrating but unfortunately when these patches drop not only do they have to deal with the tech issues that might come up, but they also get tons of tickets from people that think things are broken but don’t understand that they are just not understanding how things work or how some new quest or item acts. Not saying you are one of those people, but that is why they have these kinds of responses right now until things calm down.
I made a Zandalari Troll druid this morning, and while there is no quest from Chromie or at the Embassy for BfA and no pop-up quest to start it, there is a Warchief’s Herald standing next to the command board right outside Grommash Hold.
He gives the quest “MIssion Statement” which starts the BfA quests.
Edit: I just made an Alliance allied race character as well. All I had to do was go to Stormwind Keep and pick up the quest “A King’s Command” from Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth in the throne room to start the BfA quests.
Initially I tried to do the BFA intro quests and after skipping the Battle for Lordaeron and handing in the quest there was no follow up.
When I dinged 50 I got a quest from Magni. Took the portal to Caverns of Time and flew over to the Chamber of Heart, did the one HoA quest to get my first piece of azerite armor, and then there was no follow-up quest.
Just a side note the Heart of Azeroth quest says it’s in the Orgrimmar category despite being on alliance.
My char is also broken after a faction change to Alli, not even offered the Tides of War quest. I’ve changed a couple chars and the normal bug is being stuck in 8.3 instance which is fixed by moving Heart forward with Magni. In this case I can’t even start BFA or enter Heart
I am having this exact issue as well. I was leveling with a friend who was about 2 levels behind me, and as soon as he hit 50, he also had the exact same experience. Magni just dumps us in the heart forge scenario, and does not offer the next quest.
My bad, it’s been forever since I played through BfA on Alliance and the set up was so similar to the one for Horde (which isn’t bugged) I assumed it was the start.
I am having this problem too. I leveled an alliance character to 50 and did get a breadcrumb quest to get the Heart of Azeroth neck, but nothing to actually get into BFA. The throne room in Stormwind has Turaylon. There are no !s on the map except for a few to unlock allied races. I submitted a ticket but the ETA is 2.5 days…
My EXACT same situation here. Leveled 50, went to Chamber. No quest from Magni after Infusing the Heart. Now can’t reenter Chamber. Throneroom has Turaylon. Cannot do any intro quests, open warfronts, etc. Also, there is no portal BACK to Boralus in Silithus.
Edit: leveled a Horde Demonhunter to 50 just a few days ago and had zero issues with BFA intro quest line. He’s opened everything up to Horrific Visions…
