Unable to see other players' emotes

I’m unable to see emotes from other players in chat. I can see my own.

I can see the animations of /bow and /wave but no emote shows up.

How can I fix this?

Are you currently subbed to the game? If not, that is most likely why you cannot see emotes as they are disabled for Starter accounts and unsubbed accounts.

On the Starter Edition you will not have access to:

  • The Emote function in text chat

I currently have time on my game. But I see now the person I was talking to is on a trial account.

But seriously?? That was the ONLY way for trial accounts to communicate with higher levels!! They couldn’t use custom emotes, which was neccessary to avoid gold selling, but normal emotes were fine! Why would they remove that?!?!

I am not sure why they removed the function. You can try reaching out to the Devs via their Twitter account and inquire as to why:

Ok I’ll do that.

I have some good experiences helping newbies who got my attention via emotes, and also some good experiences being on the other end.
