Hello all,
I’m currently stuck on the quest for shadowmourne. I’ve completed all the steps, and right as I’m about to turn it in, I noticed Shadow’s Edge was missing from my character.
I confirmed it was not in my bank, bags, or void vault.
I confirmed Mograine did not have the option to restore Shadow’s Edge.
I have confirmed it’s not available in item restore.
I have spoken with multiple GMs over the last few weeks, who refuse to restore the item to my mail manually.
The only response I’ve received is to submit a bug report…which is immensely unhelpful (and already done).
If it’s bugged, then that’s typically all that can be done. Especially if several GMs have taken a look at it. GMs are not generally able to bypass bugs unless the developers have given the green light to do so

I’ve had GM’s mail me quest items plenty of times in the past.
Why is this now no longer an option?
policies have changed over time.
it looks like people have been able to get the item back by using party-sync, if you want to try that
Usually, the biggest reason a GM cannot restore an item is that their logs cannot verify that you had it. Thus, the request for the bug report.
I’ve tried this but it didn’t appear to work. Any other details on this you can think of?

I’m not sure this is valid in this case, since there is a quest log bread crumb to show my account had the item.

I have almost the EXACT situation. Did shadowmourne quest for Weeks. Got all the shards and BAM it’s gone. Except Darion won’t give me ANY dialogue or prompt to suggest restoring shadows edge. Only the quest to upgrade it to shadowmourne which I can’t do because it’s not anywhere in my bags or bank and the GM told me to report it as a bug also….
Yeah, this is really annoying. GMs are beyond useless for this, when a simple restore would resolve it.
