When attempting to queue for random lich king dungeons with players below level 80, the game sends an error along the lines of “Some players do not meet the level requirements”.
Upon inspection this appears related to the level range issue present in the pre-80 dungeon finder system, as I noted the following:
Firstly, while looking at the specific dungeon list as a level 80 player only three dungeons are available (level 77-80), rather than those within the appropriate range.
Secondly, the dungeon finder appears to be flagging the dungeon as 80+ only if a max level player is present.
This is not correct behaviour for the dungeon finder as intended in the original iteration of wrath; that iteration of this feature did allow queueing for green level dungeons as a max level player with anyone of the appropriate level range.
Please prioritise this fix as ait is heavily impacting the ability to join dungeons as a low level player and preventing max level players assisting their lower level guild mates.

can’t even que as low levels more than once lol, we completed RFC and then it was removed from the specific que list altogether, random no longer works, and there are only 2 dungeons in specific that also can’t be qued for. amazing stuff, waited a whole year now did we? its a shame, my favorite feature by far is doing dungeons in general and this makes it easier and more accessible for old and new players alike, but of course it would be plagued by bugs and unusable

This is still happening in Cata pre-patch. I’m attempting to do random dungeon finder with 3 level 78s and 2 level 80s. I get an error stating the two level 80s are too high to queue for any dungeons. The only specific dungeons available to my group are Ahn’kahet, Azjol-Nerub, Drak’Tharon Keep, Violet Hold and Gundrak. When I join any of these dungeons, the amount of XP I get is significantly less than if the level 80s weren’t in the group.
What’s weird is that I have queued solo and had level 80s in my group. Perhaps it’s an issue with a pre-formed group trying to queue up with level 80s?
