Unable to queue up for tw dungeons

made a evoker today and did the starting zone. im able to queue up for df dungeons fine im lvl 61 i picked my spec did the whole story up to the dragonislands intro since i just took the portal but i cant queue up for the timewalking dungeons even though you need to be 60. anyone got any clue why this is happening?

After you use a boost on a character, or after creating a new Evoker, you need to wait at least 24 hours before attempting to enter old dungeons or raids. It may take up to 48 hours to clear the locks on older content.

evokers count as boosted characters when it comes to tw queues? that seems like a lazy design for a new class. sucks i gotta lose a day of that bonus xp but atleasts its almost over

I didn’t know this was the case, but it makes sense. Otherwise you could just make an evoker, run TW, get the item for 500 badges, delete, make another evoker, and so on.

the badges are a currency and you cant trade it to other toons though. or people like me who have a army of alts would have a unfair advantage. i leave a couple of alts on different servers that sit with a couple of thousand badges incase i need a rep and didnt realize or they add a new tw

Right, but you could buy BoA items like the rep tokens on the evoker and mail them to your main, delete and restart to send more. Or spend them on transmog/toys so your other characters can put all of it towards the mounts or bigger items.

EDIT: The lockout sucks for those intending to just make another character, but the limitation makes sense given what could easily be done with a new lvl 60 every 30min.

i could understand if it was more than 500 badges for the item or if you could trade it but other than the rep tokens which these xpacs are old so who cares theres nothing you could abuse unless you have a army of fresh 60s to do every tw so you have a mountain of badges to spend after a few tw weeks

It’s always this way for hero classes.

It’s to interfere with gold farmers.

im cool with that reason. never thought about it lol. makes alot of sense
