Unable to login, authenticator error

“Oops, something went wrong”

Can’t login, can’t approve authenticator request, can’t remove authenticator without providing code from authenticator.

What’s the next step to fix this?

So I found the root of the problem – developer incompetence.

I recently replaced my phone which had the Battle.net authenticator (new one, not old one known as “Authenticator”) app installed on it. Upon receipt of my new phone, I installed the authenticator app, logged in, and confirmed I could approve Battle.net authenticator requests with my new phone. I tested by logging out, logging back in, clicking the app prompt, and called it good.

Now weeks later I cannot approve requests on my new phone:
“Oops, something went wrong” – over and over with no solution.

Now only thanks to the fact I still had my old phone in my possession, I was able to dig it out, charge it up, and login to confirm the Battle.net authentication prompt.

Shudder to think if I didn’t have my old phone, I’d be locked out for days, perhaps weeks, without a solution. Meanwhile, I pay a subscription for this game. Shame on me.

Yo i posted basically the same thing a few days ago i detached the authenticator to try and get it to work but cannot reatach it and i cant use the serial number page cause its just stuck on a error page saying cannot retrieve information from the servers or something like that, since i started playing dragonflight Authenticator would never work to approve requests blizzard just wants our accounts to get hacked at this point basically i probably should have just never detached it in the first place I guess but here we are, Ive put in multiple requests to try to get some help from blizzard but they keep saying it’s on my end but it’s clearly theirs, and yes before you ask my phone number is updated to this current phone.

It’s mind-blowing we pay a subscription for this game and the customer service is non-existent. Hopefully that’ll change after the replacements from MSFT arrive, but we’ll see…

Same thing here. New phone and can’t get the battle.net app to work correctly. Had to revert back to the old authenticator app and can get things to work and login using that…Would be really nice if a Blue would post that they atleast read your comments and mine and replied with anything.
