Trying to level up my skinning to 300, but after the patch I can’t find any mobs that offer a skill up past 255. I’ve looked in Sunken Temple, Winter Spring and AQ. Anyone find a spot in old world that offers skill ups?

Try SIlithus (talk to Zidormi at Valor’s Rest if necessary to get the old pre-sword zone). That was an end-game zone back in vanilla.
Edit: Nevermind. I checked on an alt, and mobs there were green at skill level 223.
Thank you for replying. A guide I read said AQ in Silithus was where to go and i did get from 254 to 255 there but greyed out. 
Did you try some of the raids?
Silithus, Winterspring, and Blasted lands used to contain the highest level skins. If Silithus isn’t doing in anymore, give the other two a shot.

I tried Ruins of AQ and AQ40 (couldn’t find skiable mobs in the latter). I also tried MC because the core hounds were at least level 31 but even the skinable core hound boss was a grey skin, I also tried Winterspring and Blastedlands and the both sides of the Twilight Highlands/Wetlands border.
I will say that i did actually get a skill up from a grey skinning target but with 43 levels to go at 20 plus mobs per point. I feel like that’s got to be an oversight or bug.
Well then. If everything is grey, then there’s no need to max it out. It’s not like it will stop you from leveling Outlands skinning.
