Hi,
After today’s update, I’m unable to launch World of Warcraft on my Mac. When I try to open the game through Battle.net, the WoW icon appears in the dock and starts bouncing indefinitely but the game never fully launches.
Despite this, when I check the macOS system resources, I can see that the WoW process is consuming both CPU and RAM, which indicates it’s doing something in the background. I’ve already tried restarting and completely shutting down the computer, but the issue persists.
I’m running macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 on a MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro chip.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution?
Thanks in advance!
This may or may not work, but sometimes when this has happened to me I was able to just go into the Apps folder and directly launch the game without going through Battle.net.
Thanks for the reply, but it still hasn’t worked.
Both times this has happened, I’ve had to delete the entire retail folder, but I don’t think it’s a viable solution.
I’ve noticed that when it crashes while loading, it still consumes cpu and RAM resources, and in theory, it stays running in the background. However, even if I kill the process directly or restart the system, it still won’t work until I perform a clean install.
I’m having the same issue. I fully re-installed wow cata and battle.net and cata still won’t launch.
