Unable to have certain combinations of pets

Im getting really frustrated :angry: i am a fairly new player, i am a BM hunter and with the talent.

When i call certain combinations of 2 pets, only 1 appears. With certain combinations 2 will appear… i have tried reslotting via stable. i dont know what i am doing wrong :confused: ive tried asking ingame and finding online with no luck :upside_down_face:

If anyone has any input it would be much appreciated! I just want to be able to have 2 pets out that i like, not one i do and one i dont.

Hey Headzhot,

What combinations are you trying? I’ve haven’t had any issues with Animal Companion.

It’ll be your summon pet slot, and your 1st stabled slot.

For example, I have core hound, hati, and azul in my summon slots, and my spectral gryphon as my 1st stable slot, and no matter which of the 3 summoned, spectral will come out.

I can see if I can replicate it if you give me two that you’re trying!

If you’re referring to Animal Companion, which gives you two pets, your second pet will ALWAYS be the pet you put in the very first slot of the stable.

The stable being the NPC stable in most cities, not the selection of pets you can summon on the fly. You can carry five pets with you, but you can have a LOT more in your stable.

I am having a similar problem with no luck online. No matter what pet I put in the first active slot it would not summon. Just the pet I called.

I pull my boar pet, (first pet I tamed) and I put it in ANY active slot and it will summon as a second pet. I put it in slot 5 with 1 being a devilsaur. Call my slot 1 devilsaur and boom boar comes out as second pet…

Your second pet is always the first pet in your stables. The stables is the NPC in cities where you can store tons of pets. If the pet in the first slot of your stable is a boar, it will always be your second pet.

For clarity:

  • Call Pet is in your spell book and/or bars. It can hold five pets that you can choose at will. You can only call one of these pets at a time.
  • Stables is an NPC that holds the rest of your pets. The first slot in here is your second pet from Animal Companion. If you want a different second pet, put a different pet in that slot.
  • You can’t change your second pet without going to a Stable and changing it.
