Unable to go online/log into Battlenet Desktop App

I’m unable to log into/go online with the battlenet app. My internet is obviously working (hence the post) and my uid/pass is obviously working (hence the post), but i’m unable to actually go online. I keep getting “Your login session has expired.”, error #BLZBNTBGS80000023.

I’ve rebooted, forced stop (task manager), verified internet connection, and done all of the standard stuff… but no online. The dailys aren’t going to do themselves.

Check your e-mail to see if there’s a link for verifying your e-mail. I’ve also read that adding or removing SMS protect may also help to resolve this error.

Give those a shot and let us know if it clears up. I’ll keep digging to see if I find any other possible strategies to try :wink:

Edit: Found the support article for it! Try just re-entering your password and see if it works.

No emails, i haven’t changed any emails or details, so I shouldn’t need to reverify anything. (I checked spam). I have an authenticator and that worked fine when i logged in on the website. As far as SMS… to be clear, i’m talking about going online with the DESKTOP app to be able to play wow.

On the link, I did do the full log out and reenter everything manually and no go.

Can you completely kill the app through Task Manager, then right click -> run as administrator the desktop application?

Did the admin/clean kill of the app, it didn’t work.

Oddly enough, suddenly i’m online and logging into Wow again. roughly 20 min down and just back up. Not arguing with the internet old gods.

Yeah, those were just some other things to try that seemed to work for others with this error.

Looks like it cleared itself up though! Yay!

If it happens again, there are some other tricks to try too :wink:
