I have a lot of enchanting recipes on my main, which is a hunter. I often enchant them onto enchanting vellum to sell them.
There are weapon enchantments (e.g. Windsong) that i cannot put on an enchanting vellum, while i have my crossbow equipped. Clicking on “Enchant” and then onto the vellum will give me the error message: “That spell is incompatible with your weapon appearance.” which doesnt make sense, since im enchanting the vellum, not the weapon. If i swap my current weapon to a polearm, i can enchant it again onto the vellum.
Steps to reproduce:
- Equip crossbow.
- Try to enchant “Windsong” onto an enchanting vellum.
- Get error message.

Still an ongoing bug. I have to switch to a melee weapon only to enchant vellums with weapon enchantments.
Can’t put a 2H weapon enchant on vellum because it is incompatible with my weapon appearance. Still bugged.
Still bugged. I can’t put enchants on ANY of the ‘Enchanting Vellums’.

Yeah same, have to go as low as Legion enchants before I stop getting the message “Target is too low level.” Right when selling enchants to all the new Evokers would be really useful…
Really painful to my brain that this is happening right now. Seeing the prices, finally able to make some gold with enchanting. But, nope. Just the people who bought out the entire AH and priced enchants 10,000%+ higher than normal.
