Unable to dismount on flying mount, DK only

  1. Log into the game as level 80 Death Knight.
  2. Summon Winged Steed of the Ebon Blade.
  3. Now try to dismount on land.
  4. Death Knight will immediately try and summon flying mount again. (move to interrupt)
  5. Death Knight will not unsummon while flying/hovering.
  6. The only fix is to find land, attempt to unsummon and move the Death Knight while it is re-summoning.
  7. The player, me, never re-summons, it does it on its own.
  8. Issue has occurred since I purchased the mount.

Glad to know it is not just me having this same issue. I bought the Winged Steed of the Ebon Blade a couple of days ago but found I could not dismount like i normally do with all other mounts. Yesterday, I finally figured out that I could make a new macro to /dismount just so I could get off of the beast. I hope they can fix this mount so that it starts working like it used to. Server is Maladath on Wraith of the Lich King classic.

Ive noticed this on my DK as well.
What Ive determined is, unlike other mounts, the DK flying kount is not considered a spell. If you pop the mount on your bars and click it, it will remain the same icon while you ride. Any other mount, the icon swaps from the mount icon to an “In Use Spell” icon.

They definitely need to fix it tho. It makes no sense.
