Unable to create or copy characters

I’ve tried to create and copy multiple characters in beta. When I try to copy a character from my account, i get “Copy Failed”, when I try to create a character , I get “error creating character”.

Hihi, first beta post!

Soo same. Its clear the character creation servers must be slammed, just getting timed out “Character creation failed” errors.

Hopefully it will unclog soon?

I made the mistake of trying to copy account data and now I’m stuck in a 10 minute never-ending loading loop.

If I had to guess it’s everyone trying, best option to to keep at it or wait.

Yep I think the answer is that if at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again. After posting in the forums of course

There’s probably zero point in even bothering with the “Copy Account Data” and “Character Copy” features anyway as those features on the test realms are probably still broken with no fixes coming anytime soon.

Wife and I are also having the same issue. Copy Failed and if I go to make a character. When I hit finish it just sits there with Finish greyed out.

I’m stuck at that point also, can’t copy a character. Suppose I’ll keep coming back here to see if its a me problem or, in this case, a lot of people.

got lucky and got my lemix warrior to copy over but can’t login saying lemix characters are locked. all live characters fail when copied

I keep getting the “Copy failed” error message, and the option to create a new character is grayed out.

Copy Account Data still did the very long hang for me which I’ve experienced in the last couple PTRs, but it did eventually resolve after around 5-7 minutes.

Main issue right now seems to be templates and copies, though I’ve seen a few people that were able to successfully create from template. I was also able to just create a fresh character without template pretty quickly, but no way I’m leveling from scratch.

Gave up on trying to copy a character, doing a midnight leveling template character. But hey, it is also not working. “Character creation failed” over, and over, and over….. The beta experience is awesome lol
