posting for a friend due to the character lvl restrictions…
I was unable to reactivate my account and create a toon with the fresh Classic WoW release due to a business trip. Now that I am set up, I am unable to create a horde toon because of the population split between the factions. All my friends/guildies are playing this faction on this realm, so I will just unsubscribe if I can’t create a horde toon. Is there anything I can do, or am I just screwed?
If character creation on a server is locked for any reason, then there is nothing a player can do to over ride that. CS can also not over ride that. The decision to open up the server again to new char creations is up to the WoW Devs and server engineers. They will do so when and if they feel it is stable and a good decision for the health of the game.
Unfortunately, there is never an estimated time when, or if, the char creation conditions may change. They may be going in blocks right now. As in, freeing up some spots randomly until they fill up again. Your friend can keep trying if they want and hope they happen to hit an open block of time.

the server will open back up to creating horde toons once alliance reaches a similar amount as the horde. it was locked by design to keep factions fair and even
some ppl over there are saying they waited a bit and it was unlocked for a bit but idk how it is now. u p much gotta keep ur eye on it.
Welcome to classic where you had to choose between alliance and horde.
Why would I choose Horde, there’s Space Go… Okay Puppy peop… Dragons, no… Fat Hum… Pandas uh… Why choose classic?
