Unable to connect to any blizzard services on my computer

Not sure I can remember when this started, maybe about a week ago or so, but I am completely unable to connect to any Blizzard services on my PC.

  • When launching battle.net, I try and login and receive Error BLZBNTBGS80000011. None of the content on the launcher loads.
  • If I launch WoW and try and login manually I immediately am hit with “You have been disconnected. (BLZ51901016)”
  • If I launch Overwatch I receive “Sorry, we were unable to log you in. Time out communicating with Battle.net services.”

I have tried all of the steps in the articles for both Battle.net and WoW and nothing has helped. This is not a new computer, I’ve been playing WoW perfectly fine on this computer since 2020 and Overwatch fine since last year.

Overwatch still works perfectly fine on my Xbox.

The only notable change we’ve made is we got a new Modem from Spectrum as our old one was old. The router is still the exact same.

No other service on my PC exhibits any issues with connections, including Discord, or any other games I play, so this is a Blizzard exclusive issue.

I did try connecting my PC to my mobile hotspot, but that didn’t fix the issue so seems to be exclusive to my PC.
I also tried using a VPN and that did not work.

The new modem isn’t a combination router also?

Though you tried other connections and are getting the same result, did you add or update any security software?

Nope, it’s just a modem. No security software changes at all.
Yeah, tried through my hotspot and my VPN and no luck on either :frowning:

Update: Looks like Windows firewall randomly decided that Battle.net and anything Blizzard related was no longer allowed. Idk why as I have no made any changes, and I am the only user. I restored firewall settings to default and that seemed to fix the issue.
