Unable to connect from Comcast(MD)

I cannot connect from Comcast, but I can if I use my Verizon cell phone and tether the computer to that.

If I am on the Tethered Mobile Hotspot through Verizon, game works just fine.

If I am on my native home wifi or wired connection through Comcast, the game is either exceptionally slow to load, and once in is laggy until I am kicked off, or connects lag out before connecting.

THis is the MTR:

Note that this is not likely to be an ISP issue, as I can access other applications and websites, just fine from my home wifi via Comcast, only WoW is affected.

Same thing happened to me. I am also on Xfinity/Comcast in MD. At about 9pm or so my latency spiked to 3k to 5k has never happened before ever. My latency has just now went back down.

I’m having the exact same issue. Comcast as well. I can connect with my cell phone (verizon) but not Comcast. They also seem to be having issues connecting to some websites. I was having issues with Amazon for awhile but not Youtube. I’m way out in Cali though.

Same. I managed to connect from wifi instead of a cable but my latency was higher than usual.

The issues you are experiencing may be related to the 42% packet loss on the route. This means that some of the WoW data being sent isn’t arriving to our servers. This may not affect other websites or games but something is happening on the Comcast route that is negatively affecting the connection to the WoW servers. You would need to contact them in order to have them investigate what is happening. Make sure to mention that you don’t have the problems while using a hotspot. In the mean time, you can use test a free VPN which may route around the problem.
