Unable to complete "Worldsoul-Searching"

I’m currently unable to complete the TWW meta achievement because “Not So Quick Fix” is bugged for me. I have clicked and interacted with every other console except for the Abyssal Console. When I stand at it, it does not give me an interact option, and it appears to be already “fixed” in that, it’s normally supposed to be shooting sparks and appear broken, but it does not for me.

I’ve already made two tickets about this, one was months ago as I was preparing to get achievements done for the meta, and one was yesterday as now the only thing that is preventing me from completing the achievement and getting my mount/decor rewards.

I was told both times that Customer Service would do nothing for me, as they do not help players with “general issues” like this. I have submitted a bug report almost every day for the past few months about this issue. I have received no help, no work around, no fix. Even a simple reset on the console so that I could click it. Nothing. I’m at my wit’s end for what to do, and Blizzard is notorious for ignoring player’s issues like these, I’m worried that I’ll simply be out of luck until maybe one day someone gets bored and maybe decides to fix it.

I have tried to click this console on every single character that I have. I’ve tried it on a new computer. I’ve tried it after uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I’ve tried it in warmode. I’ve tried it in party sync with someone who was both able to click the console, and see that it was broken, yet nothing has changed on my end. I’ve tried it after using the /console command to set everything to default. I’ve tried it with no addons installed, both on my computer and a computer that’s never had any addons installed. I’ve tried it with a class trial. I’ve tried it with a level 10 allied race character. To no avail. Nothing I’m able to do is able to change the state of this console, and I’m being blocked out of rewards for a months now.

I’ll happily provide an imgur link (can’t post pics/links here) showing the console with no sparks, as well as my achievement progress. At this point, I’m basically begging anyone who might have this problem to provide some insight as to a possible workaround, or pleading with Blizzard to please, PLEASE, do something for once instead of refusing to help a paying customer who’s been nothing but loyal to this game for 20 years. I’m distraught at what Blizzard CS has become.

Generally speaking, if there’s an issue with an achievement or something in-game doesn’t work correctly, Game Masters are unable to assist directly. Submitting a bug report was the correct thing to do. Just keep in mind, you won’t get a personal one-on-one from filing a bug report as that’s only for QA and the devs to investigate an issue and resolve it for everyone.

This issue no longer seems like a general issue as I’m not finding any other posts or bug reports about it. I have seen no comments about anyone having this same issue. GM’s used to log in and actively help people in game and now if there’s an issue in game, it feels like everyone is telling me “Oh well, submit a bug report.” It’s been months of filing bug reports, with no fix. I desperately need a GM that will be able to help with this, as I don’t think anyone is doing anything to fix it or help me.

There likely isn’t a workaround available for the GMs, which is why you were asked to file a bug report. These types of things do take time to investigate what is causing the issue and then implementing a fix. Even if a bug has seemingly gone unresolved for a long period of time, that doesn’t mean it has been forgotten or ignored.

THere only allowed to help where teh dev let them help sometimes fixing a issue causes a bigger issue down the line for the player which is why GM rarely help in this case.

Cool, thanks. Suppose my only option is to sit around hoping that maybe Blizzard, the company with an infamous track record of leaving game breaking bugs in for months if not years at a time, will eventually get around to it. Here’s hoping.

Just to set expectations, “game-breaking” is subjective.

Their bug fixing process is dynamic. Issues that affect a larger portion of the player base or are blatantly blocking campaign progress (for example) may take more priority than one that affects a small handful by comparison. New bugs introduced with new content can and often do take priority over bugs that have been on that list for a while.

I mention game breaking because Blizzard has left bugs in the game that have prevented people from moving forward or completing encounters as intended, and left them for years. Tazavesh hard mode was bugged for years, even in this reintroduction to TWW, and only got fixed after players were unable to proceed. ToS Kil’Jaedan has been bugged for nearly a decade, and still not fixed. Game breaking bugs.

Yes, my current scenario is not game breaking, which gives me even less hope it’ll be fixed in a reasonable time, even though it’s locking me out of rewards that I’ve done all the other effort for.
