Unable to complete quest "Under Lock and Key"

Quest: “Under Lock and Key”
Zone: The Waking Shores

You are supposed to loot the Worldbreaker Cell Key from nearby enemies and use it to open a cage. However after looting the key, quest progress stays at 0/1 key obtained, and clicking the the cage gives the error message “Missing reagent: Worldbreaker Cell Key.”

I’ve been getting the same error. I’ve reblogged, reloaded, and abandoned to retake the quest, and it still tells me it’s missing, yet it is in my bag.

Also having this error, though I did watch someone else walk up and open the cage. So it appears to only be affecting some people, but not all.

I am also getting this exact error. I’ve tried doing the quest twice, reloaded, relogged everything. The key is in my bag, but the gate won’t open.

I also am getting this error, tried abandoning the quest and re-farming the item. Same problem.

Update everyone. I abandoned my Artisan’s Supply quest and I was able to unlock the gate.

I completed my Artisan’s Supply quest, then came back. The cage is opening now.

Confirmed - same issue.

One of my guildies is having the same issue I was able to turn mine in with no issues. They’ve restarted their pc, client & game & still won’t work. This is quest #3 for them with the same kind of issue.

This is exactly it! I abandoned my Artisan’s Supply quest and it immediately worked.
