Unable to complete many quests

TL:DR:

For the past year or more I have had a bug that seems to persist no matter what I do.

Older content that i have failed to complete has been cluttering up the world and I decided I wanted to do the content, get the transmog, achievements, reputations, mounts, etc.

EPL - Gidwin Goldbraids (Bugged)
Storm Peaks - The Crone’s Bargain & Making a Harness (Can’t pick up)
Hyjal - Return to Alysra & If You’re Not Against Us… (Bugged)
There have been others, probably are more I have not found yet.

I am unsure of how to solve this issue, I have submitted countless tickets about this and waited literal months to sort it out but I never have the opportunity to physically speak to them live. It’s always a game of Text tag over days or weeks and nothing ever gets resolved. They tell me about another quest i need to do first that ALSO is bugged, even if i tell them that. It’s incredibly frustrating.

In Hyjal I have 2 quests that are broken with NPCs missing

Return to Alysra - Alysra is not there.
If You’re Not Against Us… - Blackthorn is not there.

In Storm Peaks my map has a breadcrumb quest showing

The Crone’s Bargain - The Crone is not there, shes in another place and has no quests for me. I specifically spoke back and forth with 2 + GMs about this one and was told to do the quest “Leave no Goblin Behind” I think it was, which was not available and the NPC shows 1/1 for quests according to my addon ALL THE THINGS.

I also do not transform into the ice lady and become friendly with all the other NPCs in the town so I am unable to accept and do the quest “Making a harness” in the Brunnhiedar Village.

These prevent me from both completing for the zone achievement, and lock me out from daily quests to acquire the polar bear mount.

In Eastern Plaguelands I have another quest from Fiona, “Gidwin Goldbraids” The quest itself is not at the flight path at the enterence to the zone for me, she is actually all the way across the map in Lights Hope Chapel. She has the quest and I can pick it up, but when I go to Gidwin at the Terrordale cave entrence he is not wrapped up in the spider silk, hes just standing there and has no quest turn in.

If it were not for the massive investment of time into this character and all the content I have done, as well as titles I would have to reaquire as they are character specific, I would have re-rolled my hunter at this point. I know to many it’s petty and most would just skip it, but I play to complete as much of the game as I can and having chunks of the game just straight up broken and unresolved is extremely irritating.

I don’t want to go through the effort of regrinding all these reputations, all the quests, all the time and effort i put into all my follower missions and collections tied specifically to this toon.

I have legitimately taken long breaks from the game out of pure frustration that no one in support seems interested in helping with the issue, which is why I am posting this here.

The marker for Alysra is not very well placed. She is a green dragon in the ruins north of the northmost river.

It shouldn’t be possible to continue in Hyjal without having completed the Alysra chain. I suspect if Blackhorn is not where he should be it is because you have to do other stuff further upstream.

Yeah this seems to be glitched. You don’t have credit for Bargain but you have done a bunch of quests that have that as a prerequisite. That is quite a trick (and unadvisable). No way to know whether there was a data error on their end or the internet dropped a packet right as you completed that quest but I’m reasonably confident you had to have done that at some point. You might have to just persist with tickets until you get a GM that knows how the game works. Tell them specifically (and politely) that you have done “Mildred the Cruel” and so you must have done Bargain to be offered that.

It is not unusual for an error at one point to cause downstream issues as in Hyjal. This will likely sort itself out if you can get Bargain fixed.

I see you as having completed Gidwin. Again, you wouldn’t have been able to do almost any of the other quests in EPL without that one first (it is necessary to start Fiona’s caravan moving) and you appear to have done them all. If it is still in your quest log that is very weird but only about equally so as your other problems. I would just delete the quest. You have done it and everything it unlocks. The only reason to hold off on that is that it may somehow point to the cause of all this for someone on their end looking into it. A data error wouldn’t just affect one thing.

I’m sorry this has happened to you, I know how bothered I would be, which is why I don’t mind hunting through your quest history (which are public, in case you are unaware) for clues.

For the Crone one…can you not talk to the Shieldmaiden or whatever you call those women who are in the mine?

The original quest giver should have an option to give you another mask.

If there is absolutely no quest available to you, the original quest chain starts in K3 from a Goblin or Gnome in the Inn? I remember looking around for them because they’re hard to see where they’re at. There was a lot of clutter around them.

Turn on low level quests and run to K3 to see if you missed a turn in and/or just abandon that quest and run to K3 to pick it up again…or get it from the lady in the cavern with the Crone–the one that supplies the “mask” to wear.

It’s an item and will have a little button by your quest log if I remember right…because you have to equip it to become friendly with their little village.

thanks for the replies, yeah there is no quest chain available anywhere.

These complications came from doing 90% of it as horde and switching to Alliance.

Sadly so far every GM I have played Text tag with either doesn’t understand what i am saying, or they are not bothering to read the whole ticket before assuming the problem and giving me a generic answer.

The most in depth answer i got was telling me that because i did them as horde and not alliance, i need to do them as alliance. However that’s not possible (that is the problem) And they either counted for both factions and things got janky when i swapped factions, some other unknown problem i cannot fix on my end.

I wonder if you are having phasing issues on these quests. I know Hyjal has a lot of phasing issues due to a Heart of Azeroth questline from BFA, and, as a hunter, Storm Peaks could have phasing due to the questline from BFA to tame Hati. I’m not sure if you’d have to start over on these due to faction changing, but I think some campaigns can lose progress as a result of the swap. I can’t think at the moment what might phase EPL, but maybe there is a similar issue.
