I was in Stratholme looking for the blacksmithing plans there, I was able to get Serenity but I wasn’t able to interact with the Corruption plans. Is there something I need to do first? Beyond being a blacksmith.
I think you need the quest to get them. It has been a long while, so I am not sure.

I got this sword today and I decided to post a little guide here in case anyone wants to get it as well, seeing as how there is no guide already. The sword can take a while to get, but it was an interesting and rather fun experience for me and a nice throw-back to the old days.
To get this sword, you must have Blacksmithing at level 290 at minimum and you must not have completed the quest Weapons for War Weapons for War .
You’ll need to go to the Service Entrance side of Stratholme in the Eastern Plaguelands, accept the quest and loot the Blacksmithing Plans - you can only loot them while on the quest, so if you’ve already done the quest you basically can’t get it on that character, unless you buy the plans from someone else.
This is the easiest part however because you then have to get 16 Demonic Rune to make it, and the best place for them is Dire Maul . It’s worth noting that only the Demon-type mobs drop the runes and they also have a relatively low drop rate, so don’t waste your time clearing the whole instance - there are only 3-4 rooms with Demons in them, and getting to Alzzin at the end takes too long to make it worthy of the effort.The other mats are very simple to acquire, and you can usually find them on the Auction House for low prices.
For me the best way to get the Arcanite Bars was to buy the Arcane Crystals and Thorium Bars off the Auction House separately and ask a friendly Alchemist to transmute them - you’ll need 2 Thorium Bar and 2 Arcane Crystals for that. This is usually a better idea than buying them separately because Arcanite Bars can be very expensive.
All in all I was very pleased with the sword, it has a very unique look to it and shares its model with only one other weapon in the game, Bonereaver’s Edge , but bear in mind it is BoP so you cannot make one for your alt.
