Just fixed my loadout issue. Played in Starer Build for 1 BG then made New Loadout. Now I can swap between my PvP and Mythic loadouts with no issue. Hope this can help someone.

To add additional information, I was able to move into Starter Build and then back into the load out in which I’d previously been locked. I was still unable to move into my other builds.
I deleted all of my old builds and imported replacements. (Sucks to have to redo those keybinds, but oh well.) From this point forward, I can move freely between builds.
Blizzard should still fix this, but at least there is a solution. Good luck.

I was noticing this since prepatch on a few of my characters as well, most notably on my paladin.
I’ll set talents and save the build. Open the talent build next and half the spec tree is gone like i was in the middle of making a new unnamed page. If I swap, I get a warning that “all unsaved changes will be lost.” Swap and same thing will happen the next time I open talent tree.
Almost 100% reproduction on paladin.
This just worked for me.
You need to set the starter build hero talents in order to fix the issue. No need to play a BG or anything.
On another note, kinda feel like there should be an option to disable starter builds in settings.

It definitely did. I even reported it. Happened on live last night for me on the same class that I sent the report in with on beta.

This is still not working for me, and still giving me the same error message. I’ve applied hero talents in my starter build but it made no difference.
Still having the same issue as well. I cant swap loadouts as holy or disc, but I can as shadow lol.
I have gone through multiple times and made sure I had no 2/1 talents from reworks in the trees (holy, disc and class tree all got reductions for a couple talents). I have every talent selected in both hero talent builds for holy and disc.
edit: tried the starter build thing and it wont even save my hero talents. I am getting the same error when trying to swap back to other load outs, and the hero talents get reset in the starter build.

Same deal here. Just that error message, can’t change anything else to any effect. Hope this gets fixed soon.
Same here. I’ve also checked my other specs and loadouts (where I can) and I can swap around in feral but I can’t in the others. I’m glad people have found some workarounds but they’re clearly not foolproof.
It’d be really nice to get some kind of acknowledgment that this is a bug that will be fixed soon. I reeeally don’t want to have to redo all of my kits.

Same here, had to redo all manual . I can change from different spec(elemental to restoration and so on) but not a different build in the same spec (a pvp resto build
For example) this sucks so much

This bug is still happening, was stuck in default, then tried importing, but still stuck and cant switch preset trees

I’ve gotten it to “work” by simply importing/creating new loadouts, and can switch between those, but not my pre-TWW loadouts, so I just deleted those.
Shabbie’s idea totally works, but if you are having further issue delete all of your level 70 preset loadouts. They didn’t have hero talents in them and are causing the bug.
