Title says it all. I have a house in a guild neighborhood. When I change ownership to an alt, it just reverts back to the original owner as soon as I open the home owner UI. I have tried logging out and logging in immediately on the other character. still the same problem. I have made sure there is nothing pending on either toon. Nothing has resolved this issue.
I’m having the exact same issue here.
Here are the steps and symptoms I’m observing:
- I created a house in a guild neighborhood with character A.
- I transferred ownership of the house to character B to test that feature. It worked as expected, B is showing as the owner.
- I invited character C to the guild.
- I tried to transfer ownership to character C. It did not work. I tried to transfer ownership back to character A. It did not work. No matter which character I select in the drop-down, ownership remains locked on character B.
Get character C to honored with the guild then try again. A lot of guild features are tied with being honored with the guild first.
They are all max rep. Still not working.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Character C is Revered because they were formerly in the guild and just rejoined.
I’m also unable to change the owner back to the original house creator, A (who is Honored).
I’ve tried everything. No luck.
I am having this issue too and it is preventing me from doing a realm transfer because the character I want to transfer is the house owner. A bit frustrating paying for a service and not being able to use it because of a bug.
I’ve tried changing owner to multiple characters within the guild, tried moving to a new plot and changing owner, moving back to original plot and changing owner. Changing owner and logging out immediately and into new owner. I am using the current owner to try to change the owner. Nothing works.
Same here, doesnt work. Have tried everything… hope they fix it soon. Small indie company btw.
So an update: i had to relinquish the house and buy it on the owner that i wanted it on. It now displays the correct owner who just bought it. I know its not a fix, but its a workaround for those that want it on a specific character. At least until it gets fixed.
I am curious - when you say you relinquished the house and then bought it on the owner you wanted it on, do you mean you bought the exact house you had previously relinquished? Or that you bought a new house with the character you wanted as owner.
I have a guildie that is experiencing issues with both home ownership and with being able to move her house. Originally she created it in a public neighborhood on a character that is not in our guild, then she moved it while logged in on the guild character. Then we realized she had put it on a plot that had already been spoken for. Before I could suggest how to deal with it, she moved it back to a public neighborhood. Now she can’t change the ownership AND she can’t move the house back to the guild neighborhood. I am wondering if your solution would work for her, but she has done a lot of work on the house already, so we wouldn’t want her to lose any of that.
Yep , I’m having the same problem and it has been going on for over a week now . Have reported it as a bug as well . Keep hoping one of these updates will fix it .
Also still unable to change house owner as well. Character is revered with guild.
same and also i can’t use my monk on alliance to access housing plots.
