Unable to buy Rival 1 PVP Ensembles recently added in 11.0.5

I originally put in a ticket about clarification of something I was confused about. Before 11.0.5 was released, WoWhead made a post called " Dragonflight PvP Ensembles Coming with Patch 11.0.5 - Elite Ensembles Included". This made many people in the comments of the post, including myself confused about whether this meant PVP rival 1 ensembles (not to be confused with the elite weapons) could now be bought from any character/class. Many people were excited as this meant you would be able to buy 1800 transmog sets on a character you didn’t reach Rival 1 on, with the only necessity being that you got the Rival 1 seasonal achievement on one of your characters in your warband. This made sense since the achievements associated with Rival 1 and Elite became account-wide at the end of Dragonflight and during the start of TWW. The Rival 1 Elite transmogs were only obtainable through ‘seasonal reward tracks’ (for lack of a better term) during the respective season. If you reach 1800 during the season, you are always rewarded with the full elite transmog for that season. To get multiple Elite transmogs, you must achieve 1800 on multiple classes for each of the sets.

When 11.0.5 got released, I and many others that went to the new vendor realized you could not buy the Rival 1 Elite transmog on any character while having multiple Rival 1 achievements from Dragonflight. While I thought the post WoWhead made was clearly pointing towards warband PVP achievements and rewards, I disregarded that when I found I could not buy the 1800 set for my shaman when I had gotten 1800+ on my priest on all 4 season in Dragonflight. It is strange to me that blizzard would essentially implement a ‘fomo’ vendor, and regardless those of us that are intended to buy the ensembles have no need to since they have already been achieved by simply getting to 1800 during the seasons stated.

I got a response to my ticket in which I shared screenshots, explained the situation and linked the WoWhead article. The response came back saying…
“I had the opportunity to run my own research regarding the PvP Ensembles and found out that you’ll be able to purchase them for characters that have at least one of the same class achieved Rival 1 on the respective Dragonflight season. If your Rival 1 character corresponds to a different class, then you won’t be able to buy the Ensembles.”
After getting this response, I tried going on my one of my druids. For context I got 1800 on my druid during Dragonflight season 2. One would assume through my tickets response that I would be able to buy the set on the same class, though different character. I was not able to buy it even while trying this.

I personally believe this is a bug or a giant miss-step from blizzard. I am confused why they would put a vendor there with transmogs that either you cannot buy, or do not need to buy. If this vendor was supposed to be a way to fix a bug that players had that I am not aware of, then I wish that were communicated clearer. I do believe they intended for players to be able to buy any 1800 set they wanted with it being locked behind a skill-based achievement for each season. With the addition of warbands this makes me even more confident in this assumption. If I am simply losing my mind and this assumption is wrong, than I seriously cannot understand why this vendor was added unless they purposefully wanted others to feel bad for not having enough time to get 1800 across all 13 classes.

So a few people have also mentioned that CS told them they should be able to buy the set on different classes if they got 1800 on at least one character. If it was only the same class, I’m still confused as why the vendor would be there. I got 1800 on one shaman, and immediately had the transmog on my other shaman, so I would not need to buy the set.

Either way, there definitely IS a mistake here. Just not sure which it is. Lets hope its fixed soon, or clarity is given!
