I’m trying to get the dark coven set from ICC. The way I understand it, you need to buy the base item from a vendor either in Dalaran or the raid. Then you can get the updated appearance by turning in the base item and a (in my case) conqueror’s mark of sanctification. Well I have all that and it’s telling me that I don’t have the required items.
Apparently I can’t post images or links but basically I have the Dark Coven Shoulderpads and a Conqueror’s Mark of Sanctification sitting in my inventory but it’s not letting me get the Sanctified Dark Coven Shoulderpads.
I feel like I must be missing something super obvious here…am I?
edit: I’m wondering if there’s some sort of difference between marks obtained from normal vs marks obtained from heroic maybe…
Make sure you follow the steps correctly. If i recall, you can’t skip an ilvl of Tier? there is a “Conqueror’s mark of Sanctification” and a “Conqueror’s Mark of Sanctification (Heroic)”. I could be wrong, I’ve been more, recently, on older stuff in wow. Make sure you’re 100% correct you’re using the correct piece of Armor and correct Token when you’re trying to make the Purchase.

I had this same problem. the confusion is because all of the ‘conquerer’s marks’ have the exact same name, but the different difficulties have different tier tokens (the tooltips are VERY slightly different and thats the only way to tell)
10 man normal drops the beginner set (or you can buy this from the vendor)
each of those pieces is upgraded by the tokens that drop in either 10 man (heroic) or 25 man (normal). these pieces require the token AND the corresponding tier piece from the previous difficulty
THOSE upgraded pieces can be upgraded again by running 25 man (heroic) and getting the tokens there, which combine with the upgraded 25 man (normal) pieces at the vendor.
its all very confusing, but made more confusing by the fact that there is literally no way to tell the tokens apart aside from the very slight differences in their tooltips (differences you can’t see at the vendor)
I had to open a ticket to figure this out because i thought it was just bugged. lol.
