Hi, just tossing this out there in hopes I can get a little help. I was using the steele series cataclysm mouse since it released and love it. It has started to wear out unfortunately and do not feel like paying over a 130 dollars on Amazon to replace it haha. I did however take a gamble on the unexpensive TeckNet HYPERTRAK High Precision Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse, 16400 DPI, 10 Programmable Buttons, Weight Tuning Cartridge, 5 Omron Micro Switches.
I am shocked how great it feels for being so cheap. It honestly feels better than the cataclysm mouse. The issue I am having is binding keys in wow. When I go under key bindings and try to click to bind a key it will recognize the first click and then once it says click a gain to bind, it will just unbind. If anyone has any tips I will gladly trade for cooking tips/recipes. Thanks a bunch in advance.
I had the original WoW mouse (pre deathwing version) as well until about 2016 when it finally croaked.
Sorry it’s a bit late, but I only just started having problems with a new mouse I just got today, the Logitech g502 hero. Same thing happened with the keybinds as you so i went for a look on youtube. The best tip I found was to open the mouses software app and set the profile to the game I wanted to use.
This however, only let me assign keyboard keys to the mouse buttons, then I would have to get in the game and assign those keys to the hotkey slots. It’s quite a pain as even most of the F keys are used. F6, F7, and F12 are unused by default though so I used those. It’s enough for me, but I do miss the simplicity of just using mouse buttons in the ingame keybindings and skipping using extra mouse software. From my limited research on youtube I have been unable to find a solid answer on this. I also couldn’t find a mouse that you could program hotkeys directly in game, so perhaps it was something unique to the WoW mouse?
