I was leveling a character in Chromie time, and when I hit 50 I was in the middle of a battleground. Normally when you hit 50, you’re pulled from wherever you are and kicked out of Chromie Time. It seems as though my character is stuck halfway between Chromie Time and BFA. I was able to pick up the feeder quest and go to Zulduzar, but I am not able to get into the new version of Silithus to meet with Magni. If I take the portal from the Great Seal, I port into an area with no textures, fall through the world, and get disconnected in about a half second. That continues to happen every time I load in. I need to use the self-serve character stuck to get them out of the loop.
If I try to fly to Silithus when I’m not stuck in a loop, only the old version is accessible. If I talk to Zidormi to switch timelines, I still go through the dialogue choices, but regardless of which timeline I am “in”, only the old version of Silithus loads. Even when the NPC says I’m in the current one, it’s still the old version.
I haven’t been able to find this to be a common occurrence when searching online, but I believe this stems from dinging 50 and not being pulled from the BG.

I have used the Self Service Character Stuck tool, and every mob everywhere is level 50, so it is definitely an issue where I was not fully removed from Chromie Time when I dinged 50.
Try using the Uldum Portal at the Earth Shrine or the Cavern of Time Portal then fly there.
That does not work, I’ve already tried. As I said in the initial post, if I do that and fly into Silithus, that gives me access to the old version only. Speaking with the timekeeper Zidormi does nothing. The dialogue works and she says she’s putting me in the new one, but I’m still in the old one.
I’m having the exact same result. Unable to access the new Silithus. Slightly different circumstances. I boosted to 50 while I was phased to Chromie Time in Legion. Received the 8.2 quests, followed them until I accepted Essential Empowerment. Then my experience is quite similar. Silithus portal creates falling and disconnect. Speaking to Chromie in Org offers no dialogue options. Party syncing with a guildmate in Silithus was not effective. Exact NPC behavior as from the OP.

I’m having the same issue. Leveled through Legion, switched to Draenor. Hit level 50 in my garrison and never got ported out of Chromie time.
The solution for me was as follows
- Return to capitol city (SW/OG)
- Speak to Cromie and select to return to present time
- Return to Silithus you should see the present zone
You may need to return to your capital city and reset Chromie again after
you should only need to fly over to Zidormi (at the entry to Silithus from Ungoro) will show as a 
on the map.
talk to her and tell her to show you whichever time-line you want.
