Unable move a reputation to inactive

Hey Support,

Small gripe that I’m hoping you can help with. One of the reputations I have for Wrath Of The Lich King, the Alliance Vanguard will not allow me to move it to inactive? despite having no quests or things related to it open. Is this a buy or working as intended? if it is working as intended please can you explain why?.

There will be no explanation, as the developers don’t discuss intentions or bugs outside of press events or sometimes on their Twitter.

What exactly doesn’t work? Specifics are important.

To mark a faction “Inactive”, you must

  1. Open the reputation UI
  2. Shift-click the faction’s entry in the UI
  3. Click the “Move to Inactive” checkbox

At this point the faction is immediately moved to the “Inactive” portion of the UI. However, if their reputation bar was being displayed (replacing the XP bar), that’s not automatically cleared. You would have to uncheck that yourself.

So, at which step of the above-listed process does the problem occur, and exactly what happens?

Alliance Vanguard cannot be marked inactive because it has dependencies. This is the same as The Anglers and The Tillers, and any other rep with direct ‘dependencies’. You can mark the dependencies inactive, however.
