I just logged into my main to see my character falling through the map. she falls for a couple seconds and then i get disconnected. will i have to wait a couple days for a game master to fix this?!
Sounds like you just got crossed into the Shadow Realm.

I logged out in silithus. just like any other time. my game is clean i dont even use a single add on. this sucks 
They just don’t make floors like they used to…
But give it a few minutes, try logging back on to that character a few times and it should fix itself, eventually porting you to land somewhere nearby.

no need for a ticket.
if you’re still stuck, you can move the character yourself, via self-help options.
but when I log in I just fall for a bit and get disconnected. I don’t have time to do anything in game
I fell through Silvermoon once and had this happen. Had to send a ticket to get Blizz to get my character out.
I cant use the teleport to graveyard thing in the help window because you cant do that while moving…
just keep logging in it will fix it’s self eventually.
you don’t need to be ingame.
the option is accessed from your browser.
follow the links here.
it will load a page with all of your characters.
select the character which needs moving.

I think character stuck is one of the higher priority issues, so hopefully they’ll get to you fast

Or at least get a screen shot of ur toon flipping the almighty single digit towards the nether before ur disconn?

It’s even better, the system itself will move you. All entirely self service.
Probably one of the really cool things we have.
Similar thing happened to me while on a ship (alliance). I had to log in/out multiple times, and eventually I got back in fine.
Don’t tell me that they plan on implementing RNG just for logging in now.

ten years ago, when logging on to a character in Northrend Dalaran, it was a fairly common sight to see them falling towards Crystal song forest.
clipping glitches still happen; i see it most often with my DHs gliding into places where the server goes “okay disconnect that foo”
This bug is very old and has happened to me several times. I’ve even fallen through the zeppelin, my garrison and Argus.
