Umm tokens, please with realistic prices. This gold inflation is NUTS!

WTF happened. Normal stuff that should go in the 50s - 1g range is like 30g all day.
Everything is just overpriced and its not because there is a shortage there are pages of these items, i think i saw a rare weapon on there that was like 2 pages of the same weapon and 20g. Where are they getting the gold to waste for returned items to even post crap this high ?

Can we please reality check these gold prices.

So heres what happened.

The gold sellers are getting mass reported in the open world, and getting banned on sight. So now they have moved to the AH to make gold.

They bought the entirety of the Lone Wolf AH greens, things that were 50s are now 10g. Things that were 1g are now 20g. Awful greens nobody would ever want are now 20g.

If you look at their names its the same 5-8 names. Bots running the AH, its brutal.

Bots. There are lots of obvious bots. Blizzard doesn’t care. Blizzard stealth removed the option to report people in dungeons for botting via /who back in TBC when the gold selling/bot epidemic started churning out gold for all the people buying Blizzard’s “character boost”.

Blizzard loves bots. They are a steady income stream and likely make up a significant portion of the active player/current subscriber count. There is zero incentive for Blizz to ban them and neither Blizz nor the devs have the pride in their work required to keep quality a priority in the game.

The AH doesn’t generate gold. Killing mobs, looting chests, and pickpocketing does. Inflation on servers is directly related to the tens of thousands of 24/7 bots killing mobs, looting chests, and pickpocketing.

The Token will not make this better. The people that are in a position such that they need to sell gold to make a living don’t care about competition. They will undercut Blizzard’s Token in a heartbeat, don’t believe it look at gold prices for retail on an elicit site. The only difference will be that Blizzard will get a cut and their shareholder will be happy, but the game will be left with zero integrity. Blizzard’s anti-bot and legal department need to do a better job, and that has nothing to do with a WoW Token. They need to pursue litigation against the companies making the bots, but that means they’d have to spend money.

You literally don’t understand what I’m saying.

They bought all the greens for 50s and reposted for 10g.

That absolutely makes gold. Read my post again

The AH does not GENERATE gold. People need high amounts of gold to post at higher prices. Where was that gold GENERATED? From bots killing mobs, looting chests, and pickpocketing. AH bots are not CREATING inflation, they are merely a symptom of it because gold is being massively devalued.

It generates gold for the sellers. They charge more so folks are getting less bang for their buck.

I never said it made inflation or put new gold in the game. You just assumed

It doesn’t generate gold in the game though. Inflation is caused by supply of currency in the market. The AH can therefore not be a cause of inflation(in fact the AH is a gold sink that reduces inflation by charging fees to players, removing that currency from circulation).

Are you just intentionally ignorant???

Read what the OP is asking. My god.

He’s asking why AH prices are skyrocketing. It’s because the gold sellers are having to move to the AH to make gold because botting in the open is getting them banned. They are artificially increasing prices way beyond what they should be to make gold.

I ask again, can you please read FOR ONCE

“The gold inflation is nuts”

Read above about what causes inflation.

You didn’t see these prices week one of SoD because bots hadn’t GENERATED gold by killing mobs, looting chests, and pickpocketing mobs yet. Now it rises sharply because there is an increased supply of gold in circulation.

You’re just being intellectually dishonest at this point if you don’t understand that.

There is economy inflation and artificial inflation.

Artificial is what OP is seeing

He’s not referring to real inflation – he’s calling out AH prices which is not the same thing.

Stop being so pedantic.

Read above. Why weren’t prices listed so high week 1?

You think AH bots didn’t exist then??? lol. Why wouldn’t they just raise prices then? Oh yeah, no gold supply in circulation. Weird. Weird

Keep digging…and digging…and digging.

Eventually you’re find the missing point, I’m sure!

Avoid what I just said because you know you’re wrong.
