Reading the latest Higurashi Mei Character Stories I am now seeing what Bernkastel’s Victory Condition for Beatrice’s Gameboards: Find out who survived the Massacre.
There are 2 specific Red Truths that reveals the biggest secret of Rokkenjima:
- The Culprit of the First Twilight really killed 6 People.
- The Culprit was only aided by other Culprits.
Erika Furudo killed 6 People yet it is stated in Red: There are only 17 People not 18 or 19 despite there being at least 18 Humans on the island.
The Chiester Sisters represent the Winchester Guns used by Kinzo yet they are revealed to be Bunny Dolls that Maria plays with and furthermore Nao in Higurashi Mei is treated as a Chiester Sister so the bullets of Winchester Guns simply force a persona on someone not actually kill them.
Erika wearing Jessica’s clothing is tantamount to Erika being shot with a Jessica Winchester before even arriving on the Island. Erika Furudo is Bernkastel by the way. Bernkastel outright states that Erika Furudo is her inserting herself into the Gameboard. Since Erika Furudo slit the throats of 6 People that means that Bernkastel killed 6 people.
Add this to Higurashi Mei making it blatantly obvious that Nao is infact Maria Ushiromiya(due to similar backstories) and that the Black Awakening Witch is infact Rosa(both have a Dog that was killed) that means that Rosa and Maria survived the Massacre and were simply shot with the Winchester without Bernkastel killing them.
Bernkastel’s Game in Twilight of the Golden Witch even acknowledges that Maria could survive suggesting Jessica died instead.
The fact that Bernkastel goes pale after Beatrice’s Bloodstained Birthday Party in Higurashi Mei shows that Maria surviving is frightening news since it narrows down the chances of the victim being someone she cares about.
Who’s clothing is worn by Erika again? Jessica. Who is Bernkastel implied to take the form of again? Hanyuu. Hanyuu thus is Jessica which obviously means that Kanon is Rika Furude which is not surprising since Featherine is the creator of Bernkastel and is shown through her alias Ikuko to be Beatrice AKA the 19th Person.
Incidentally Hanyuu was seemingly smashed to pieces by Tamurahime yet Tamurahime has no memory of the incident nor does she remember Une who boasts of her and Tamurahime’s grand showdown and since the Bewilderment of Ange Ushiromiya event has Jessica imply that her Mother sent her to aid Krauss’s investment it is likely that Une is Natsuhi and was smashed to pieces in the form of Hanyuu by Bernkastel in the form of Tamurahime(who is Kyrie) while Hanyuu was shot with the Une Winchester Bullet.
We at the moment cannot ascertain whether or not Krauss actually survived despite ascertaining Natsuhi’s survival as the Winchester Bullet should have had a major effect on Krauss’s memories. We only know that someone thinking he is Krauss/King of Sorrow is present and backing Natsuhi/Une.
The fact that Une is identified as Hanyuu’s mother despite it being stated in Higurashi Sotsu’s Audio Commentary that she grew out of a broken off horn of Eua suggests that Une is the one who broke Eua’s Horn creating Hanyuu. In that case the Black Witch was created by Kinzo/Lambdadelta breaking off Eua’s Horn and in turn created her little sister Nao by breaking off Eua’s Horn herself.
We have thus 7 identifiable Survivors(Rosa/The Black Witch, Maria/Nao, Eva/Eua, Jessica/Hanyuu, Kanon/Rika, Battler/Lambdadelta and Erika/Bernkastel herself) of Bernkastel’s attack and one identifiable Victim(Natsuhi who is attacking from beyond the grave as the Tsukuyami).
