Howdy all,
On my new sytem ill be running a ultrawide 1440p and im at the gpu part and im deciding between a Rtx 2080 super or a Rtx 2080 ti?
I play mostly mmos/rpg’s but i do try AAA titles when they release.
If the super can handle this type of gaming im more then happy to save $600+ aud by not buying a ti if i dont have to.
Still deciding on a cpu to pair with it - im leaning towards the new Ryzen 3000 series and a longer lifespan on the cpu is always a bonus.
Cheers.
A 2060 super can handle gaming at that resolution.
3440x1440p?
I would go with at least a 2070 Super or a 2080 if you play other titles besides WoW and want high frames (120 +). I dont think a 2060 Super would get you to your 120/144 FPS caps in certain games at that resolution.
All depends on what your target FPS / graphics quality you want with gaming.
I have an Ultra Wide and I use a GTX 1080, and works just fine. I play on Ultra settings (7) for the most part. A 2080 Super should be more than enough.
Not for modern AAA games. Its just one-step shy of 4k in how punishing it is to run.
That being said, the vanilla 2080 should be fine (or, now, the 2080 SUPER i guess), as it is slightly more powerful than my 1080Ti and my card can handle 1440p ultrawide just fine at 60+ fps in every game i bothered to try when i had the monitor available, including Wolfenstein: Youngblood and The Division 2.
