A monitor is a monitor, all you would need to do is play in window mode and adjust your windows unless there is a third party app that can do it for you.

Ultra wide monitors are really expensive and not conducive. I think you would be better off buying 2 monitors.

just buy 2 monitors…

It’ll probably be better to go with 2 moniters instead of an ultra wide monitor.

Have an 82 inch ultra wide curved. Absolutely fantastic/beautiful.

What you tryna do is called Picture in Picture. Or play Windowed Mode.

Maybe theres something you can do.

Hear me out:

3 monitors.

Trust me.

Ultrawide is awesome. Just make sure you have enough depth in your desk that you dont sit too close to it. You won’t be able to take advantage of all the extra real estate you can see with an UW

i have that right now. its the size of my desk. its actually really nice since theres so much room to see everything. im working on finding a way to get a 2nd monitor but my desk is glass so i gotta find something that doesnt attach to the desk for a stand since it has to hang off to the side

If you’re playing other games besides WoW, I feel two monitors are a better choice. 2 x 27" 1440p monitors is a good set up.

As for curved monitors: If you’ve never seen one in person, try to look at some in a store. It’s largely a matter of preference. I think they’re fine for gaming, but for working I don’t like curved displays.

But again, I generally prefer 2 or 3 dedicated displays. You have more control, they are less demanding to drive (running a game in high settings on a 2560 x 1440 monitor doesn’t need as beefy of a graphics card as running the same game on a 3440 x 1440 (or bigger) ultra-wide display would, and you’re more flexible with how you arrange them.

You couldn’t be more incorrect. I have a 37” ultra wide curved that only cost $400 and wow is fantastic on it. You gain so much field of view. And I use my second traditional monitor for discord/browser stuff.

Alienware made a 32in back in the day (UW curved) served me very well but the price was a bit high at $1100 USD. You can use UW as a 2/3 wow 1/3 whatever else you want to display, but I use a more standard second monitor for discord/youtube/whatever else.

The magic of a curved monitor is most of the screen is about the same distance from your eyes, reduces eye fatige, and Alienwares version advertised it could produce 1 million different colors. More modern monitors have even higher resolutions and refresh rates. GSync was a feature I used with that Alienware monitor/my 3090TI so each frame was sent completed from the computers graphics card to monitors graphics card Via a Display port cord.

What a best bang for $ gaming monitor is today I wouldnt know.

I have 2 34" LG Ultrawides lol.

Cant you just buy a 40 inch led tv and plug the HDMI in? Am I being gauche?

When I was multiboxing, i ran one monitor over the other. Side by side was a neck breaker, lol. Was also good if I wanted to have youtube or something running while I was playing one account on the lower monitor.

1 up and 1 down sounds more like a neck breaker than side to side

Love mine too. Doesn’t overkill on desk real estate. I forget the curve. It was the lesser curve out of the three choices.

I’m weird here as I use my laptop for youtube, discord, wowhead, and forum - and my tv’s stereo system in the background for shows or music - though sometimes another headset for music from my phone. I know, a weird set-up, but leaves me room for notebook and other stuff.
