Hello all, looking for opinions.
I play with a very small tight knit group. We have 3 manned most content in SOD and enjoy the challenge. Looking for long term viability and strength.
If you had to build a 3 man core group for all types of content in this game (wpvp, 3 man questing and 3 man dungeon spamming), what classes would it ultimately be?

prot pal (best tank), healing priest (best healer since p1), hunter (best at hitting higher level mobs)

Well one of you should absolutely roll priest.
Paladin or shaman for tanking.
Dps probably mage.

I would recommend not sleeping on druid + paladin for stacking thorns/ret aura for massive porcupine aoe pulls. Mage can living flame + regen + blizzard after you get aggro, possibility of doing some really disgustingly big pulls, and it’s fun for the paladin seeing all the dmg numbers fly all over.

Warrior is a lot weaker in this version than it was in classic though. Maybe this will change at 60

alliance side it would be (team) 1) warrior, 2) priest and 3) mage
on horde side it would be (team) 1) shaman, 2) priest or mage and 3) hunter
Alliance: Paladin tank, 2 mages
Horde: Shaman tank, 2 mages
You’ll never want for damage between the two mages, and one of them can heal too
Im not wrong though 
There is no answer that is the best at everything. My three are geared more towards PVP but still has a tank for dungeons. If you care more about dungeons you would probably be better off playing Mages. If you guys are good you could play 3x Mage and do every dungeon just you three.
