Is it still bugged five years later?
I am at stage 6 of the instance and I killed all the spiders. The demon never appears nor does the door unlock.
I abandoned the quest and when I took it again, I had to listen to the plea for aid, but when I got there, everyone is dead — spiders included. Door still locked.
