I can’t even see what’s killing me in my combat log. I start the fight, there’s a dark orb, and I’m instantly dead.
Is there something I’m missing or is the fight bugged?

BFA raids haven’t been “solo adjusted” yet.

That sucks, the other 6 bosses were pretty simple to solo on normal and heroic.
Maybe Blizzard will get around to it before the next expansion…

I wouldn’t hold your breath, Eonar and Kil’jaeden are still fairly difficult and/or impossible to solo, depending on your class.
Blizzard really seems to be unconcerned with raid farmers.

It seems Mythic Kil’jaeden will be annoying until the end of time, unless you can kill fast enough in phase I to avoid the get tossed off part.
I’m not sure how people are having trouble, I’ve been able to solo him since early Shadowlands…

I mean, good for you. He still objectively takes careful placement and attention to mechanics to solo, which is not what raid farmers are looking for.

Have you actually tried it yourself? Do you have any idea the level of precision needed to pull this off? Just because it’s on Youtube doesn’t mean it’s actually doable for 99% of people who play this game. This is the kind of “content” that usually makes me Alt-F4 out of the game. This fight was complete garbage when it was current content, and it’s worse now.
Nor can I get the Kil’Jaeden fight. I’ve wasted hours on it, and I’m done trying. Unless the fight is changed, I’m never going back to it, there’s a not-so-fine-line between challenging and ridiculously frustrating.
I can usually get Eonar without issue. Sometimes it just seems to randomly kill me even though the timer seems way off.
Just jump right on the right and down when your debuff is about to run off like the video.
Yes, do it like the video and you’ll be fine.
Tried it for an hour. Got exactly one jump at the right angle. No, thanks.

I think Blizz must have really reduced the number of wow developers or something, as it’s taking them longer to get to things like old raid adjustments. I haven’t tried BFA raids yet but I know N’zoth would be impossible. Ghuun is probably not doable either
That’s the problem with some mechanics that Blizzard doesn´t check for years…
I’ve soloed Kil’jaeden on Mythic. It requires a bit more effort than most old raids, but it’s definitely not impossible. It took me a couple of tries to get him down. The orbs with the huge knockback are terrible though. Once you can figure them out it’s doable.

KJ is fine now just survive the shadow orb knockbacks. You will kill him before shade phase.
I don’t think that was on Normal, since Imminent Ruin didn’t instant kill him.
Neither is impossible, I was doing both last expansion.
