We need this feature added for those that want it. I’m not sure what’s going on with this topic but its not going away.
Make it a toggle option for those that don’t want it.

It would be astoundingly bad if they don’t add snap to gird and snap to center before DF goes live.
Agreed. To add to it, they could also include a sensitivity slider to dictate the snappiness.
Yeah not really sure why the other topic was closed then reopened. With the exception of one person everyone was getting along.
Its the most bizar thing. Ive seen 3 UI snapping threads get scrubbed today and it makes no sense why.
No snapping confirmed? Lol
People prior to PTR being updated:
You guys just want PTR to test your class. PTR is not for picking a class.
PTR gets updated.
Forum flooded with feedback, half of which is UI related.
I hope we learn from this. Because realistically, we are too late in the development phase to start asking for new systems.
Maybe an Addon developer cares enough to make it work though.
I am a bit confused. Were you not the one who claimed that we did not need it?
Right? Why would Blizzard neglect something like that?
The UI updates are definitely not finished they are changing weekly on the Beta from what I’m seeing.
Adding snapping would not be difficult at all… if they do great if they don’t will continue using UI addons as I have for the past 10 years.
Well, now I’m very confused.
Oh I’m sure they’re not done.
Nor do I think it’ll be difficult.
But, there is likely some developer sat in their office today…
“UI snapping? They’re asking for UI snapping now? Too bad they should have asked earlier!”
And out of spite, refuse to even put it in the pipeline.
I think he realized it’s an important feature many people want and is supporting that as long as he has the option to not use it.
Like I said if that’s the case I simply won’t use it.
Exactly. Just because i may noy necessarily use doesnt it mean i wasnt convinced its important.
Which it is.
Ill stick with my add-ons.
Bad enough that I’ll still be using ElvUI.
I have OCD, I need everything perfectly centered or I will lose my mind.
I feel the same as you and I am glad you changed your mind about the option of it. I apologize if I put you on the spot.
If it’s even available at launch :
The new UI isn’t just on Blizzard’s site. They totally revamped the APIs for making add-ons for it it. Bartender4 is in the same boat, dev doesn’t even know how much work it’ll take.
I feel the old UI should have stuck around for a while until they managed to get this new one working entirely. Might be too little heads up to Add-on devs.
It’s so not like them.
