The ability to search through a catalogue of things is a small but underrated feature. There are some places in the game that could use the search feature that would make the user experience better. I understand that it isn’t exactly the most high priority in terms of UI but at this point in WoW’s lifespan with the amount of things I think it would be a good addition.
Currencies: There are a lot of currencies in the game and newer ones being added every year. A search option would be nice.
Macro Icons: This is the big one. Currently players can only filter icons by items or spells. But the game has thousands of icons and it is insanely difficult to find one you are looking for to fit a macro you want. A search function would be lovely - roleplaying addons already have a similar option to type in a word to filter the icon name (ie sword = every icon with the word sword).
Titles: With 21 years of WoW the game has added many titles. I personally have 300 titles and with titles sometimes randomly resetting it would be a nice boon to be able to easily find and put them back on.

I agree Vicara, I also think (as someone who has helped mod’ and update the All The Things’ (ATT) addon) that ATT should someday be a part of the base game. Blizzard has slowly improved specific interfaces like with Transmog, but I think efforts in combining these collections into a simple, intuitive UI with tabs for Transmog, teleports, toys, heirlooms, mounts, pets, etc. with a search bar and tracking would be so helpful in simplifying the chaos of WoW collections.
All of the things (pun intended) in WoW is fairly overwhelming, and while I think the decor from Housing is coming with a fairly clean interface it does show how outdate other things are.
A search bar is such a good start but I really hope that someday work can be done to better combine & categorize these collections, and (if need be) link to external sources like WoWhead in game to find things. OSRS does this with their wiki and I think it works well.
Also if the search bar had data on items like where it comes from, how it might be described (including color, or just descriptions) it would be easier to find transmog to fit the look you’re going for, the perfect mount, or pet to match what you’re looking for. Ironically (not to be that person..) but this would actually be a good use case for a super simplified LLM in game.
