I’m trying to prep for next weeks removal of weakauras, and I was wondering if blizzard had any articles or anything on what they were doing with resource bars
I mainly play balance druid and one thing that I see some of the UI addons do is give you a moveable resource bar, but it doesnt really respect your spec. Like if im in balance druid and I shape shift out of Moonkin form, the bar just changes to mana, so I cant see my astral power outside of Moonkin form. I don’t know just something I like to see especially with the fluid form talent.
So has there been anything official about resource bars or am I just gonna have to keep looking for addons
The problem is we don’t really know. We are waiting for the other shoe to drop to see what makes it past the purge.

Base blizzard’s UI is incapable of displaying class resources properly. You cannot customize anything.
Addons will have to pick up the slack again.

Out of pure curiosity… Why are you worried about your astral power status outside of boomkin form? You shouldn’t be casting spells that consume astral power outside of moonkin form, my only thought is that you want to know what spell specifically you can cast when shifting into moonkin form? And that’s barely a gain in dps… maybe like 0.05%
You can try IceHUD, it’s updated for midnight and is probably the only really “fully functional” resource bar addon that’s out for midnight right now.

Resource bars in the stock UI are either the tiny bar you cant move, or, attached to the player frame as they are now.
You will need an addon.
I don’t know, kind of something I just got used to with my weakaura, I guess its not super important anymore, but it was a way for me to also track which eclipse I need to go into, but they are removing that anyway. Casting one wrath/starfire is good for getting out of movement cc with the fluid form talent
