In preparation for Midnight, I’ve been messing with no-addon base-UI and trying to customize to how I like. These suggestions are based from a healer perspective. I want to give some suggestions on means to improve that would greatly impact my play and I’m sure others. These suggestions are in no particular order of priority. I plan on editing and adding to this as I experience and find more.
The personal unit frame, target frame, and focus target frames. I’d like the option to be able to toggle for them to look more similar to the raid frames. (More square like) This works better with how I like to display ability information around the unit frames. I’d also like the option to toggle on/off seeing incoming heals etc on that frame. I’d like the option to toggle and remove the rested “Zzz” animation that shows over the personal unit frame. I’d like to be able to have the player power bar to be toggleable (to hide under the personal frame) and be able to move where I would like. I’d also like some more aesthetic options for the power bars (I play holy paladin, and generally would like my holy power bar to be fillable squares etc). I am unsure if this is added in Midnight Alpha, but I’d need to be able to track Infusion of Light procs via the Cooldown Manager.
In terms of the cooldown manager, I REALLY would like the buffs and bars to be dynamic (grow/shift left/right up/down). I’d like the same options for the essential cooldowns that action bars have (in terms of being able to separate them), right now they all kind of just go into a single large list. I also noticed “Repentance” is bugged and showing (I was currently talented into “Blinding Light”, but it showed both abilities in the cooldown manager essential cooldowns when visibility was “always visible”).
For the cast bar, I’d like to be able to adjust where I see the cast time on a spell.
For the raid frames, I’d like to see how 20 player frames look at and adjust for that. It is currently not an option.
For action bars, I’d like to be able to hide action bar 1 visibility.
For Status Bars, I’d like to have toggle to hide on/off.
