UI Feedback: Damage Meter

The in game Damage Meter is still missing some of the most important information that details had.

For example the most important thing its missing:

-The ability to click on a specific spell in your damage/healing breakdown to see how much it hit/healed for, how many hits the ability had, what the maximum/minimum/average hits were

Why was that important:
This was really important because it made it much easier for people to change things that weren’t working well in their builds, made it easier for people to test things out as new things released without having to record their own logs and post them or use other third party systems like WoWarenalogs which requires you to download an app which then records and uploads your PvP logs from arena games. The -only- way to see information we used to see (the information I listed above) is to use third party systems that are entirely out of the game itself now whereas before we downloaded Details (which is third party ofc) which was then accessible in game and required no further effort to find important information.

The fact I cannot quickly see in game how much my Lava Burst is hitting for, how much my Flame Shock is ticking for, etc is really bad and has ruined the ability for players to correct mistakes quickly in game or test out new builds/talents to find out how much damage something does. This was extremely crucial for both PvP and PvE.

**No actual upgrades to the in game damage meter over details, for example: **

-Details had one major issue, mostly important in PvP. That issue was it always showed damage done to player pets/guardians and did not give us an option to turn that off, so the damage meter was relatively unreliable for an overall damage breakdown to players in PvP. There was nothing added to the in game damage meter to give us the option to turn off damage done to player pets, so we didn’t even get anything new that details did not have despite this being an in house damage meter.

I am supportive of removing certain addons and baking them into the base game, but man if we’re going to do that they should really be just as good or better than what we had. I think most things are in a relatively decent place now, but for some reason the damage meter has gone unaddressed despite missing very important information that is now no longer accessible in game at all.
