UI Errors (LibFrameAnchorRegistry)

Created a new character and all of a sudden on all characters I am getting these errors:

Couldn’t open LibFrameAnchorRegistry-1.0-5\Libs\LibNameplate-1.0\lib.xml
Couldn’t open LibFrameAnchorRegistry-1.0-5\Libs\AceDB-3.0-27\AceDB-3.0.xml
Couldn’t open LibFrameAnchorRegistry-1.0-5\Libs\AceEvent-3.0-4\AceEvent-3.0.xml
Couldn’t open LibFrameAnchorRegistry-1.0-5\Libs\AceHook-3.0-9\AceHook-3.0.xml
Couldn’t open LibFrameAnchorRegistry-1.0-5\Libs\AceDBOptions-3.0-15\AceDBOptions-3.0.xml
Couldn’t open LibFrameAnchorRegistry-1.0-5\Libs\AceConsole-3.0-7\AceConsole-3.0.xml
Couldn’t open LibFrameAnchorRegistry-1.0-5\Libs\AceGUI-3.0-41\AceGUI-3.0.xml
Couldn’t open LibFrameAnchorRegistry-1.0-5\Libs\AceHook-3.0-9/AceHook-3.0.exml

When I go to that file location I see the folders CallbackHandler-1.0 and LibStub. There is also a modules XML, and when I open it it shows all those files listed in the erros. Why can’t I get the game to access these?

The files are probably in a different location (folder) to the one(s) specified in the .toc (or include file listed in the .toc).

LibFrameAnchorRegistry would need to be directly under the AddOns folder according to the errors. If it’s in another addon folder under AddOns then some adjustments would need to be made.

Also, make sure you are completely out of the game when you install addons.

Lastly, the last entry with an extension of .exml???

This is no longer necessary since 9.0 prepatch - you can install an addon while the game is running, and a simple /reloadui will load the new addon.

Fair, they could change it back in the future.

In my personal experience I’ve had zero issues installing new addons this way, and I’ve tried dozens (maybe over a hundred) of new addons since prepatch released.
