New UI doesn’t save upon logging out and I don’t have a cast bar. It’s simply just not there.

Yeah there’s going to be a lot of fixing of UI with blizzard patches before DF hits…

Same. Random abilities repopulated on my bars when I log, zone, join a group etc.
Not sure if Im not saving it and its just doing that or a bug.

Your cast bar is most likely completely hidden behind action bar 1. On the option window that comes up in Edit Mode, check the Cast Bar box, and then move the action bars completely out of the way, and you should be able to find and move the cast bar. Of course, the game won’t save your changes once you log out.

To anyone who reads this, export your settings and save them to a text file when youre done. That way if a restart breaks your settings like it does to me, you can just ctrl+c import it quickly. Ridiculous that this is an issue at all though.

First thing i did after a set up was lost. I am not remaking my ui every friggin patch or hotfix

Mine was buried behind the action bars.
Oh, and addons might be jacking with your UI, if you’re running any.
Same problem for me today. Sigh.
In general, this is caused by a bad interaction with an addon.
Before you use the editor, turn off All of your addons. Restart Wow.
You should now be able to save your custom layout in the editor.
Note I said “Should” 
When done, load your addons, one at a time, and try to figure out which one or more of them is causing the problem.
Also before editing your UI, strongly recommend determining what UI scale value you require (to be able to read stuff) and set that value. Changing the UI scale value does odd things to a custom layout, e.g. actions bars drifting apart, buttons changing sizes differently, etc.

I had similar problems at first. Unfortunately I had to disable all addons (even updated ones) to get it to save. Even then, once it switched back to default on me. Luckily I saved under a custom name and could just switch back to it.
THE CAST BAR IS OFTEN buried under the action bars…Move them around
and take a look…It’s a cool idea…but they released it BUGGY.
same problem just spent like 2 hours trying to get one to save but was gone as soon as i went back to toon its really frustrating
