UHDK NErfs

Worth anything?

Yeah I’m looking forward to the 5% damage buff nerf the most. Glad it’s offset by a 2% absorb my healing nerf. Also so glad their pets do less damage, because their pets were so op >.>

i personally think this, and resto sham buffs, will cause some significant changes in the comps seen on the ladder. RMX will still be powerful, but i cannot remember a season when it wasnt.

It helps to understand how dk’s work when commenting on stuff like this hey

It’s not a 2% nerf to Nec Strike, 7% to 5% is a about a 29% nerf to it.

Would have been better to remove deaths advance passive, cap DS healing at 15% of max health, and shorten Necro strike duration so stacks could potentially be kited off. Hate to see a damage nerf to anyone in the current game.

They are going to have a pretty big impact, no doubt. Four Necrotic Strikes on Tuesday will be weaker than three today. Not by much, but that’s the impact.

Their spread pressure could go up with the nerfs to Azerite rank 3 traits, which would benefit TSG comps, along with warrior buffs.

Honestly, these changes wouldn’t be bad if Mages, Rogues, and Warlocks got damage nerfs, while DH got their immunity frames and Monks got FoF Parry nerfed.

The meta will most likely shift to WLD, Shadowplay, RLS and DMR will of course stay.

Again, these changes would have been fine, if mage/rogue/lock/druid saw some slight tuning too.

completely disagree with DA nerf
i would MUCH rather see chains be changed entirely

have it diminish from 70% for 1 second 50% for 2 seconds ect like it used to
or make it 50% flat like it was in the last 2 legion seasons

and honestly make it cost 2 runes to offset the all 1 rune type change

agree with ds nerf but would probably cap it at 20% and agree with necrotic lasting like 4 seconds

overall the current changes are pretty big specifically when paired with rdruids existing, rshams coming to exist, and rogue mage paladin still existing
awful dks wont be as successful as they have been the last 2 seasons

bad dks will still get rating

You think frost will be better than unholy after the changes? Or atleast close?

dont think so, i think the anti mobility is good and the utility is really good into rogue mage

i’ve seen zephy play frost and do well in the last couple weeks

same with a couple others

there’s no actual substance to the damage outside of chillstreak
frost fever is extremely irrelevant damage and oblit/FS hit for less than unholy normal pet autos

but wwdk or tsg where you set up really big chillstreaks and your other dps carries a bit you can win games

I think da passive needs gone while the active is on CD, at minimum

this would be a really good change

i really really think chains needs to not exist the way it does now that every rune is a death rune

I’m bad at math, how does it come out to 29%?

DA passive is extremely mongo imo. At least coi costs a major resource and offers the potential for some team utility. DA passive is just a license to mongo with no thought or drawback.

Baseline 10% up to 15% insta heal that can potentially be spammed seems more than enough for a spec that already has a lot of other survivability tools as options.

I think ur being a bit hyperbolic saying 4 sec necro but I’d think 8 sec is good. Right now idk what it is off the top of my head but it’s so hard to get away from a UHDK anyway then it feels like necro is on forever and it doesn’t even matter as they’re just recharging runes on their way back to u.

No matter what I think most ppl would agree a flat damage nerf was probably the wrong direction. Better things could have been done.

7% of 300k is 21k

5% of 300k is 15k

6k is 29% of 21

necrotic strike on 300k hp pool is 29% less than it was at 7%
