That’s probably the reason why you find them so easy. They were easyer with full sockets, but still demanding for majority of players. Wod was easyer i agree.
Nah, gear got nerfed for each socket. Only tanks scaling hard off crit due to vengeance really benefitted.
IDK I remember farming socketed gear back then.
It was (for the most part) kind of overrated. You just wanted alch stone, darkmoon trinket, engi and you were set to blast on basically anything. You lost one stats worth of gear for each socket, so sockets let you sort of reallocate things.
It was pulled 50% mainstat, 25% of each secondary.
Cant remember that. All I know is I was in middle school having summer vacations, farming golds for a week straight before they got removed, probably didnt sleep for more than 10 hours total that week. That’s actually the reason why I love that set so much and would be lame re-releasing it. I know biased. Still my pov.
Yeah, it was cool how good dungeon rewards were at the time.
You keep saying that, but I saw people on twitter really upset about it.
Devaluing elites won’t do anything but for maybe a season with very little participation change. After those seasons come and go and people get their desires they won’t bother with arena anymore.
If the people who are complaining about wanting the elites back to increase arena participation really wanted to help arena they’d be asking for LFG changes/MMR fixes/Dynamic Q. No, the people who want the elites only want another opportunity to collect them to ‘look cool’. That’s a bandaid fix at the cost of on others who earned them properly, it’s not a good decision.
I wouldn’t mind them bringing in +20 or higher class specific rewards each expansion or something. But that will never happen probably.
Dang, that’s tragic.
Anyways.
The thing is that the reimplementation of cosmetics is an easy, low resource thing, systemic changes are not, and they aren’t mutually exclusive.
it’s called scourgebound vanquisher, and isn’t the same model as the wrath glad mounts is why it’s not detrimental. making furious/deadly/etc gladiator’s frost wyrm obtainable again should not be an option, and i don’t understand why someone would want it anyways since they didn’t earn it
Ok, so your point was there was ‘no outrage’ but I went and proved you wrong so you get snooty… k.
Band-aid fix that will only help collectors such as yourself rather than people who care about arena’s health going forward.
I can’t imagine a lower bar than “caused some people on Twitter to be upset”
Can we agree that it sucks they don’t bother to make PVP sets anymore
See Murphy’s post.
Uhhh, I think a lot of people would get queuing on alts they’d have normally neglected just to collect old stuff, and if they gate off progress so you can only get one per class per season or something it’d be a bump to participation for a while.
In terms of damage it’d do I don’t really know. Like, a few people will be annoyed, but if they’re still here then there’s no shot it’s something they quit over.
Also lots of collectors just ignore pvp entirely.
Kinda disheartening to scroll through that reddit thread and see how utterly visiously mean spirited people are to other parts of the player base over barbie dress up transmog. Feelsweirdman. Literally the one cool thing pvp gets effort put into (less now that they are recolors) and collectathoners are celebrating the slow death of pvp.
yeah this is a really weird stance a lot of players have. i can’t help but to think that they hate it because they failed at it
There are some legitimate issues with pvp but abput 90% of the things people bring up can be attributed to this.
people on twitter don’t exist in normal society
I’d be fine that if say you hit duelist every season for an entire expansion, you get a token at the end of the xpack that is redeemable for one retired elite set. That would be my only compromise.
I feel like 2200 is a good rating for it. But don’t make all sets available, only make the sets from the respective seasons available.
So for DFS3 you’d have Cata S3, MOP S3, WOD S3, Legion 6/7 (since they did short seasons), BFA S3, and Shadowlands S3 available for legacy purpose.
One token per class per season. No alt stacking to buy them all.
Yeah, I think something like this would keep the amount of sets that goes out at a reasonable level while also encouraging alts to be played.
