I’m a Malaysian player playing on an NA server US Darkspear and latency just shot through the roof as I logged in a couple of minutes ago. Is something going on?
Did you ask in game if anyone else was getting lag spikes? Usually if you are the only one, it’s your connection. If everyone is complaining, it’s potentially game side issues.
Unfortunately Blizzard can only fix their servers (assuming no DNS in in effect), they can’t fix the route in which your data takes from their server to your router. And that’s usually where the issue tends to be.

We aren’t aware of any specific issues around your area so in this case, we should get a MTR test to gather more information:
- Download WinMTR
- Unzip the file to your desktop
- Run the WinMTR as Admin
- Type
137.221.105.2in “host”. - Click “Start” and open the game. Let the MTR test run for at least 10 minutes to capture this issue occurring.
- Click “Copy text to clipboard”
- Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between:
