Most people playing dudes in this game don’t try to be pretty though, so actually playing an ugly character doesn’t make you stand out or seem different. If you want to stand out you have to play either a hot guy or an ugly girl
This has always bothered me, if someone wishes to play male/body type 1 characters that don’t have arms that look like they’ve been overdosing on steroids, the only options are elves, trolls, small races, or now Dracthyr.

Well, it depends on what the definition of ‘pretty’ is, lol.
If it’s a full transmog set that’s constantly used, then yeah we see a ton of those, and it’s hard to say of they really stand out from one another.
I think a race that isn’t played often stands out the most, like a non-human or non-elf.
RIGHT?! The male customizations for (almost) all races suck dishwater. Thalassian elves almost come close, and vulpera are basically the same between male and females with just slight curve changes, but for the rest of them…
Like, according to the novels, all night elves are supposed to be extremely attractive. Men included… In-Game they look like they either smelled something bad, or got smacked in the face with an ugly stick. Nightborne men are horrendous in their face options. Kul Tirans look soooo bad…

Every Draenei I make, regular or Lightforged, uses face 9 because it’s the only one that looks like it has makeup on it, around the eyes and on the lips. I wish there was a way to use whatever face you want and add things like makeup to it. I make sure my draenei have different horns, hairstyles, and hair colors, but they literally have same-face syndrome because I only find one of the facial options pretty, and I hate it.

I wish night elves still had their fangs and claws. Lol. It was amazing seeing a race of savage nature protectors. “Hurt this tree and they will find you scattered in hundreds of pieces for miles” status. It was like if a war hammer orc liked nature. Loved it.
Orcs are just all diplomatic and stuff now. No inner fighting anymore. Too unified.
Undead too, like, the Calia leading them now and them mostly going good. Need some with a total lack of morals back. Even goblins have morals now.

I don’t know if this still applies, but for YEARS and YEARS Hordeside you’d see female trolls, even most NPCs, will the ONE and ONLY “cute face”. Not that a lot of people made female trolls in the first place, but those few who did almost always looked like clones with different haircuts.

I have two trolls, I think only one of them has the ‘cute’ face, but also would not be surprised if it was both. I do try to pick different faces than the one I like the most, but with Draenei I just can’t. Elves of any flavor are also a struggle for me in the facial variety department. That being said Draenei and Elves are what I mostly play.

I actually like the male options, don’t need to be pretty in a video game but I’d like you guys to have the customization you want. Also hairstyles are… dissapointing to say the least. Just, let’s have more and more customizations ( both pretty and “ugly” ) down the line… it benefits us all.

Speak for yourself; I think male humans/trolls/zandalar/blood elves/night elves/undead are cute
They do have fangs. idk about female night elves but type /lol on a male night elf and use deepstone oil to freeze the animation if necessary. At the very least they have unusually large and pointy canine teeth

The art and story direction for Blizzard has always been 40-50 year old wizened chain smoking males paired up with shapely 20 year old females and immaculate faces without a single wrinkle.
It’s basically your typical male nerd fantasy. Look at Starcraft for the encapsulation of that concept.
My character is the PEAK of male beauty. What you getting at!

honestly though what i do take offense to is the fact blizzard has a thing for hunched backs. Forsaken need a nice chiropractor visit like orcs did.
