Ugh goblins

I’m glad we agree that it is expected for most comments on literally any subject to come from elves. I guess you’ll need to write off all complaints about everything.

We don’t. Stop being a smarmy douche.

Hard to take this comment seriously when it isn’t coming from an elf.

That feeling of being called out when you saw my first post? The one that’s making you continue responding with my own words inverted? You’re proving just how justified I was with them.

Goblins are fine but I completely agree with the Earthen being unimaginable boring.

There are a few decent ones like Brinthe or Merrix. But yeah, they went too hard on them either being robotic, or cartoonish. No in between.

Thread didn’t quite turn out the way you hoped, did it, eh knife-ears?

My interpretation is that their profit seeking outlook came from their time as slaves. Whether they realize it or not, slavery taught them that the only way to be free is to be the boot.

So they willingly accept a system where they are far more likely to be indentured servants under the slim promise that, if they try hard enough, they might get to be the boot some day.

They are inventive, intelligent and creative but their gadgets are unreliable and polluting because setting up systems to fix these issues would threaten existing oligarchs. Which is just one element of how the cartel systems are rigged to protect existing power.
