U’taka not spawning?

i always used to take the long way down to docks and would fish the u’taka spawns when they were up

never thought about it until recently when i realized i havent stopped by to fish (no pool spawns) since 8.1

are these fish still in game?

Now that you mention it, I haven’t seen the equivalent in Boralus lately, and I play late at night on a dead server.

I have also been noticing the removal of Rasboralus fish pools from around Proudmoore Keep since 8.1

Could we get some Blue confirmation?

I haven’t seen any U’taka since 8.1 either, usually saw a pool when I went down to the area to scrap or use profession trainers.

So I submitted a ticket and got this response:

It is not a common/uncommmon spawn issue. Multiple people have seen nothing since 8.1, just brutal.

I was wondering, do the opposing faction see the pools? They definitely did something in the last patch. Has any Alliance seen u’taka pools? I know I haven’t seen a single one since the patch. Before I saw several a day.

I fished both species of fish on my horde characters, at least pre-8.1.

This has annoyed me as the U’taka have been a small but steady source of cash for me. I’ll go look for the Rasboralus when I am done turning in this round of garbage.

So the Rasboralus does appear for me but still no U’taka.

So the fish are still spawning, but the spawn rates might have changed. Thanks for the update Zascha.

The Rasboralus was about 15mins between spawns. The U’taka I gave up on after an hour.
I am going to be sad if it is a faction thing, now.
It could also be a function phasing, though.

Just like non-engineers don’t see the auction house in Dazar’alor, I think they made it so only alliance see U’taka pools and vice versa. The achievement is for only getting the fish from the opposite faction so I wonder if there was complaints that like faction were hogging all the pools? Just a thought, but if anyone has seen different I’d like to know.

I just ran over to Dazar’alor, and upon arrival found an U’taka spawn right away.

I have spent a lot of time queuing from beside Proudmoore Keep, and not a single Rasboralus.

Can any of you horde confirm you have seen and fished a Rasboralus pool recently? (since 8.1)

So it seems like Blizzard stealth nerfed the pools so you can only see the opposing factions fish.

Makes sense, it encourages you to raid the opposing factions cities and was likely never meant as free gold for fishing your own city. They still could have said something.

This is exactly what happened and they will not acknowledge it.
