Every time I run Tyrhold Trial, the updrafts (not the accelerators) disconnect me from game every time, especially the second one. I reach the peak of the climb to where i dive back down to get through the ring and bam. I’ve tried disabling all addons, too. I’m on try eight, currently. I don’t have a bad machine and this is the ONLY problem I’ve had with the expac.
EDIT: I tried bursting out of the updraft, which worked on two of them, but the fourth updraft just flat-out disconnected me.
had the exact same issue, got dced at the exact same spot, 3 times in a row. gave up and ran to the forums, lol.
I’m having this same issue. Turning backwards works on the first two but not on the later ones.
Pretty sure Blizzard’s anti-cheat counter-measures are working against us in this situation.
Same issue in the same spots.
Edit: I found a work around for the disconnects. Don’t do any actions until the updraft ends and your dragon continues to glide again. You’ll have plenty of time to finish the race.
I have these issues too. Really annoying we shouldn’t need to “wait for the slow” to gain the speed back. I tend to avoid them by Skyward Ascending prior to hitting them and avoiding them entirely. They need to fix that. This isn’t gonna allow people to race and do what’s needed for gold on a lot of these. Or instead of having updrafts just remove them and make them accelerators instead.

I was getting non-stop disconnects and I can confirm that the only way I was able to get through without it disconnecting is by not doing a single action all while it threw me in the air and only continuing to use my speed boosts/vigor once my dragon was gliding by itself again. Even with waiting for the slow-downs I still was able to get gold while doing this.

I’m experiencing the same disconnecting issue. This DC issue also occasionally happens if my drake collides with a wall at an odd angle. I usually have to wait 5 minutes or so before I can log back in again. Pretty annoying…
It bugged a lot for me, and others were right, waiting for the uplift to end completely and start gliding worked for me. Super boring mechanic because it slows down the race a lot… but whatever. Thankfully this is the only place I have experienced these “uplifts” so far.
