Who cares what she thinks. She’s the worst character in the lore right now. And thats only because they all but wrote Malfurion out after his emasculated performance in Legion.
They worship wine, and probably Dionysus… is there a Titan Keeper somewhere named Dionysus? Cause… that’d be hilarious…
This narrative is still going around? Go back and re-read the dialogue they have before Thalyssra makes her choice. Tyrande “being racist” was literally just her saying “hey now that you have power don’t become an evil wizard dictator okay”, which, makes a lot of sense given that not only was Tyrande alive to see Azshara nearly destroy the world, she had just helped kill Elisande, who had ALSO almost destroyed the world, and REALLY did not want to see Azshara 3.0 pop up.
If someone telling you “don’t be evil”, while your last power-hungry dictator’s body is still warm, is enough to send you into such a hissy-fit that you throw in with their enemies and immediately participate in genocide - hey, maybe Tyrande had a point?
From what i’ve gleaned, elune is the kind of god that can only interact with the world in very limited forms kinda like say, the biblical god. She isn’t like a titan who if they wanted could sneeze on this planet and wipe out half its inhabitants. She can grant boons to her followers n whatnot but she can’t do anything substantial herself, hence why her line about how in the wake of tragedy she sent the souls to ardenweald because thats about all she could do.
I think another part of that was that the Blood Elves showed plenty of compassion towards the Nightborne due to their similar circumstances of being hero- mana addicts and actually seemed to genuinely care for their plight whereas Tyrande considered it like helping that estranged family member that you can barely stand to speak to but are obligated to because everyone else would be upset if you didn’t. So basically, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
The nightborne went to Tyrande hoping their cousins would be able to help them enter and adapt to the new world they found themselves a part of. Tyrande refused them and told Thalyssra she could end up like Elisande, or another Azshara.
So then they went to their other cousins and were welcomed with open arms.
Tyrande has a history of racism against non night elves. Notably leaving the Tauren to be genocided by the centaur as well as handing the horde their new nightborne army because she dislikes elf mages.
The horde weren’t the nightborne’s enemies.
If Tyrande had chosen better she would have had a kickass army of nightborne mages and constructs to help defend her tree… but she chose poorly.
Tyrande’s continuing chain of poor choices, such as sending her military to silithis, giving the horde a few thousand battlemages, and ‘choosing renewal’ (LMAO) are something we are very grateful for Hordeside.
Three Years? THREE CHEERS AGAIN!!!
You realize the Nightborne were originally Night Elves and were apart of Night Elven society under Azshara’s reign, right? That’s why the entire city looks the way it does. After over ten thousand years of isolation, however, they moved away from that religion and focus more on the arcane due in part to the influence of the Nightwell.
This isn’t stated anywhere. Also, given that Nightborne can be priests, where do their priests draw power from?
Every race of priests draw from something. Does it make sense for a Nightborne priest to draw from the Light? It doesn’t make sense for everyone in that city to abandon Elune especially considering the temple is right there. Night Elves didn’t abandon Elune after Teldrassil. So I don’t see how everyone in Suramar abandons Elune.
Nor is it stated they stuck with the religion, but judging by the fact the Night Elves can’t shut up about Elune but the Nightborne don’t even mention her name I’ll let you come to the realization of what that means (even though I explicitly stated it already).
If you’re trying to imply that Priests only get their power from Elune, then I ask you in return when did Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes, Draenei, Undead, Trolls, Blood Elves, Goblins, and Pandaren start worshiping Elune?
Literally nothing triggers the Horde harder than being held accountable for their actions. The idea that actions have consequences is anathema.
Honestly, that’s even worse.
Yeah. Sad.
I doubt she can tell the difference. She’s clearly not that bright.
That orphanage attacked me. Everyone saw it.
I swear guards, those Goldshire kids were gonna sacrifice this poor corpse man to C’thun!
Yeah. They kept trying to stick me in a hole and throw dirt on me. Because that’s where the old gods live. Underground. And they kept trying to anoint me with their mystic flowers. And they kept saying these weird chants. Oh it was horrible! I had no choice but to chew in self-defense!
